On Monday I broke out my crock pot for the first time in years and made Christina from Carolina Charm's Crockpot Baked Potato Soup. It was amazing and so easy to make!! I highly recommend this one for the upcoming cold winter months and my Kyle loved it. I mean who wouldn't?!
I'm not a food blogger so excuse the picture ;)
Crock Pot Baked Potato Soup
Ingredients
1 bag (30 oz) frozen hash-brown potatoes
2 cans (14 oz ea) chicken broth
1 can (10.75 oz) cream of chicken soup
1/2 C chopped onion
1/3 tsp ground black pepper
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
Garnish: minced green onion, Cheddar, shredded, and bacon
Instructions
In a crock pot, combine potatoes, broth, soup, onion, and pepper. Cover, and cook on low for 5 hours. Stir in cream cheese, cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until combined. Garnish with green onion, and/or Cheddar and bacon if desired.
The crock pot was so easy to use I've decided it's going to be my go to over the next few months. Don't ask me why I haven't used it in years but I would love for you all to send me all your favorite crock pot recipes!!
After lots of convincing over the past few months I finally broke down and bought some essential oils. My sister and quite a few of my friends use them religiously so I'm hoping they really will help us kick all these germs out of our house along with keeping this place calm and serene (one can dream right?!) I went with the Young Living premium starter pack. If you're into oils I would love, love, love to hear what your favorite oil combos are and what they do!
Last weekend we celebrated my nephew's second birthday and he loves Mickey Mouse so look at this amazing cake my sister got him! If you're local it's from Cakes by Rachel.
It was our first really cold weekend last weekend so I bundled up in this Loft sweater, which you probably saw on my Instagram but it's so warm and cozy but not too heavy that you can't fit it under your coat easily. It also comes in black and midnight blue.
Our living room furniture got delivered!! We've been waiting for it for about 3 months now so I'm so happy it's here. Here is a little sneak peek and I'm hoping one day soon to actually share a home tour with all the improvements we've completed around the house.
If you are looking for new slip on sneakers I just snagged these Vince ones from Neiman Marcus Last Call a few weeks ago. I got them for $95 but they're now marked down to $79.50 and they normally retail for $195!! They're so comfy and the color goes with everything.
I cannot believe Thanksgiving is next week!! I'm so excited for the holiday season but also feeling so behind since I've been sick this week and accomplished nothing on my to do list. Hoping I will have a productive weekend to get ready!

That potato soup is the BEST. In my top 5 crock pot recipes ever!
ReplyDeleteGirl, crock pots are the best! I love throwing everything into a crock pot in the morning and knowing dinner is done! I can't believe this is the first time you used one. That soup looks delicious! And I love that Micky Mouse Birthday Cake!
ReplyDeleteOh I looove potato soup! I usually make Ree Drummond's because it's easy to make vegetarian, but I wonder if I could sub out a few items bc this looks so easy! I make lasagna in the crock pot - its super easy, just layer everything and call it a day (the side noodles get crunchy, but those are Chris' favorite so I don't mind). Please do a house tour! I hope you feel better soon! Our house is down for the count too - especially with man cold. Hopefully everyone is better by Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI need to try that potato soup! That LOFT sweater looks adorable and SO comfy! Now if only the Texas weather would cooperate so I could wear it... ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting. I didn't see a button to add to my site, but will check again next week. That soup looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI’m dying to make that soup!! Looks sooo good! Let me know how you like essential oils... I’ve been contemplating buying some
ReplyDeleteThat soup looks so good and I actually have a similar version cooking in my crockpot today! I can't wait! The crock pot is my go-to for easy meals! I love the skinnytaste BBQ chicken chilly! Any of their crockpot recipes sound so good! Love those shoes!
ReplyDeleteCarolina Charm's other recipes, such as the chicken tortilla soup, are delicious! Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThat soup looks amazing and I hope you're feeling better! I am oil addicted!!! You need the pocket guide to YL oils from Amazon, it's so helpful!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not an essential oil person myself so I'd be really interested to hear your viewpoints on them, and whether it makes financial sense to invest in something so seemingly frivolous.
ReplyDeleteYayyyyyyy yummy soup!!!!! Xo
