Thoughts for Thursday: Dinosaur 4th Birthday Party Planning

In just about a month Miller turns 4!! I cannot even believe I'm going to have a 4yr old soon.  Since we didn't have a big birthday party for Miller last year we decided to do one this year. When I asked him what kind of party he wanted for his 4th birthday he said "Dinosaur Party"!!   This is no surprise to anyone who knows us because Miller is dinosaur obsessed.

I of course started scouring my favorite places for ideas: Pinterest and Etsy.  Thankfully there are a lot of fellow dinosaur obsessed kids out there so I've found some great ideas.

Instead of a cake I'm thinking of doing cupcakes or dirt cake cups like these below:

For an activity I plan to have a Dino dig set up for the kids in our sand box or mini pool like this:

I still feel like I need some other things to do with a bunch of 4 year olds so I'm hoping I can come up with some other ideas, anyone have any good ones?  I was thinking maybe a coloring station too?


For decor I will probably order some printables on Etsy like I always do, I haven't found any I love yet and then add this t-rex banner and some Dino prints up our entry way:
