A big thank you to everyone who played along with my get to know my readers better survey last week! It was so fun to read everyone's answers. I'm still working to email you all back if I can. Remember if you're a no-reply blogger you can fix that with these easy instructions.
- Our kitchen is slowly but surely coming along!! We are hoping to move in the weekend of April 1, so fingers crossed that it all works out. Here is the state it is in now. It still feels like there are 100 things left to do but our contractor is saying it will get done.
- Our lights! I am absolutely obsessed with our pendants over the island. I also love our dining room light but unfortunately we think it might be too big for the space which just makes me want to cry. We are waiting for our table to arrive, should be here next week, so that will help us make our decision.
-We picked a carpet runner for our stairs! We are also going to use this as the runner in our upstairs hallway since we added hardwood up there. It's from Fibreworks and is a wool blend but looks like sisal so it should be durable to heavy foot traffic.
My littler helped wanted to hold it up for me to take a picture of.
- Sorry I've been so sporadic around here but last Saturday March 4th was my mom's club gala silent auction and fundraiser. I've been working on this event for months and I was so happy the date was finally here! The event ended up being a huge success. We made money for our local charity that we support and everyone had a blast.
I could not have done this event without one of my best friends and partner on this event, Erin!! Despite no event planning experience she was awesome and I seriously could not have done it without her.
I wore my new BB Dakota Jazlyn dress and BP open toed booties. I'm obsessed with both of them and see them getting a lot of wear out this spring and summer.
-Did you shop the Shopbop sale? I tried to be really good and only got this Joie dress. It's a splurge but I'm so happy I waited for the sale to buy it because I know I will get a ton of use out of it this spring and summer!
- I know I've mentioned this like three times and haven't delivered but I really am working on a kitchen renovation series for you all to share our experience. It's kind of hard to do when I'm in the middle of it but now that we're nearing the end it's getting easier to organize my thoughts, figure out what we've learned, and talk about if we would do this again or not.
