So I have to admit something. I haven't read one good book this summer. I say good because I've actually read quite a few books from the Kindle $2.99 section but they've been mostly 200 page or less romance or mystery novels. Nothing awful but nothing I would run telling all my friends and neighbors about. I've decided I'm getting bored with those and need to get into my summer reading list.
I actually made this list in June and I've downloaded some of the books but I haven't read one yet. So I've decided with only seven weeks left of official summer (before labor day) I would try to squeeze in these eight books. Long gone days are my days of reading five books in a week on vacation so I'm trying to be realistic with myself. I'm hoping to come back every Monday with a review.
Whisper Beach- Shelley Noble// The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up- Marie Kondo// Luckiest Girl Alive- Jessica Knoll
The first book on my list is Whisper Beach. I actually downloaded this in May hoping to get an early start on my summer reading but I never got around to reading it, I think I read a few pages and then fell asleep and forgot about it #momlife. So check back next Monday for a review! Let's hope I can do a book a week ;)
What's on your summer reading list? Have you read any of these?
Do you have any recommendations or books that I missed?
The Whisper Beach is my next read ! I just finished Crazy Little Thing by Tracy Brogan and enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday !
I love any Elin Hilderbrand read! Also, you will love the Life Changing Magic! It made me clean out our whole house and I still use her ideas throughout the year to keep decluttering more. I don't use all the concepts but it definitely got me more motivated to keep less.

I'm reading The Nightingale next. I just finished Family Pictures (which was okay). I read After You recently. I love the style and while I didn't love it as much as Me Before You I still thought it was great. I totally thought the tidying up Book was a waste of my time but soooo many people love it (maybe I'm meant to be messy! Ha). Can't wait to hear what you think of it - maybe I missed something!
ReplyDeleteJust added "The Singles Game" to my TBR List!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check some of those out! I read the Emily Giffin book through NetGalley and didn't care for it. I also have Luckiest Girl Alive on my wishlist. I just finished A House for Happy Mothers - it was pretty good!
ReplyDeleteI have been plowing through books (somehow) this Summer so this is a good list for more to download! I am working on a post of what I have read so far. You should read Jill Kargman's books (they are hilarious!) and The Nest and The Weekenders!
