Current Obsession: Cancun Dreaming

I don't think I've mentioned it but Kyle surprised us with a family trip to Cancun in February! I had been begging him all fall for a trip in February since it's my birthday month and it's always so dreary and cold here.  Kyle is not one for big surprises at all so it was such a huge surprise that he had a whole trip planned for us!

I am counting down the days until we leave and of course I've been occupying my mind with all things resort wear.  It's been in the 20s here and I just keep dreaming of bathing suits, sundresses, and fruity frozen drinks.

With that said here are some things I've been eyeing for my trip...

How fun is the back of this cover up?! I definitely think one of these is coming with me

La Blanca Twist Front One Piece

This suit sold out last summer before I could get it in my size so I'm hoping I can find it this year in my size.  If I can't find the pink I will settle for the blue ;)

Love, love love these sunglasses

Kate Spade Nahant Shore Stripe One Piece 

I'm not sure if the stripes will be as flattering as I want them to be and I worry about the white being see through but ahhhh this is me in a bathing suit.  Anything with stripes kills me.  

J.Crew Pom Pom cover up

I love this in the pink and the blue below.  J.Crew always has the best classic cover ups. 

Havaianas

My beloved Havaianas broke last year at a kids birthday party while I was chasing my maniacs and I've been meaning to replace them. They will be perfect for just hanging around our resort.  

The black Havaianas are on sale at Nordstrom right now thanks to price matching! If you don't have a pair this is a great time to snag some 

Tulum Cover Up Dress

This dress needs to be worn with beach hair and a tan, am I right?!  I'm all about comfy and cute when I'm at the beach

Lilly Pulitzer Monterey

I actually snagged this dress during the Lilly Pulitzer After Party sale and I highly suggest it to everyone. I have it in lasts summer's print and everything about the dress is perfect.  It's cute and comfy so I knew I had to snag it in another print if they had it.  If you're looking for an easy go-to summer dress I highly recommend this style. 

I have a feeling this won't be my first post about fun clothes for Cancun as stores start to bring out their spring lines in the next few months!  

Anyone have any fun winter trips planned?  I will also be back begging for advice on how to entertain two kids on a plane ;)
