Five on Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!  It's been so long since I did one of these posts I decided it was time again since I had some things to share with you.

Here are five things I'm loving this week:

1. This Show

Does anyone else watch The Affair?  We got hooked on it last season and this season is even better!! If you're looking for a good new show you need to give it a try.  It's on Showtime and they show the stories happening from different people's perspectives.  It's so interesting to see how people remember this differently.

2. This Creamer

Coffee-mate Gingerbread Coffee Creamer
This is my current new favorite creamer.  I'm usually pretty loyal to my pumpkin spice in the fall and then peppermint mocha around the holidays but I wanted something different.  This year I picked up the gingerbread and it's my new favorite!  I know these creamers aren't that good for you but they're my little indulgence during the day ;)

3. This Poncho
How cute and comfy does this poncho look?! It also comes in gray and I can't decide which color I like best.  I just think this would be perfect for snuggling up in this winter.

4. This Book

This is my current book of the week and so far I'm loving it.  Betty Halbreich is the legendary personal shopper from Bergdorf Goodman who worked their for nearly 40 years there and pretty much invented personal shopping as a job.  It's also a autobiograpy on her life before BG and it's been interesting to see how she go there.

5. This Recipe

not my picture, just one from the website

I had some leftover pesto and chicken that needed to be cooked so I did some googling and came across this recipe.

Ingredients:
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1⁄2 cup refrigerated basil pesto
2 -3 plum tomatoes, sliced (optional)
1⁄2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Line baking sheet with heavy-duty foil.
Place chicken and pesto in medium bowl; toss to coat.
Place chicken on prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in center.
Remove from oven; top with tomatoes and cheese.
Bake for an additional 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

I didn't end up topping mine with melted cheese but I think that would have made it even better.  I'm just trying not to eat too much dairy lately.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

  1. That recipe looks yummy! I haven't heard of the book you mentioned but it sounds interesting. And now I might need to add The Affair to my watch list, especially since a lot of shows are going on hiatus for the winter!

  12. Just watched that first episode! I cannot wait to watch the next one. It makes you wonder even more why people cheat. I'll have to make sure not to read to closely in your posts because I might read a spoiler alert. Not sure if I'm going to continue watching it. But it looks really good.

I love the fact they have more than just regular coffeemate creamers like hazelnut, french vanilla, and original now. Definitely checking out that basil pesto recipe.
