Welcome back to another Thoughts for Thursday! Thank you so much for joining us each week. Remember to grab the button and link up below.

Thoughts for Thursday

It's been awhile since I've done one of these and I feel like I just need a brain dump...

- Packing sucks. I already told Kyle we are living in this house forever because I don't have the energy to move again.

- Miller has been watching way to much tv/you tube truck videos lately but I don't know what else to do with him while I (try to) pack.  I am not proud of this.

- Speaking of you tube truck videos, these things are like crack. He would watch them all day long if I let him.  He's currently obsessed with the Disney toy review ones. Basically adults opening up toys and showing you how to play with them.

- I'm getting better at blogging again but I am HORRIBLE at answering emails and reading all my "blog friends" blogs. II read most of them on my phone and can't comment. I'm trying to get better and catch up with all of you.  It's just been so hard to find time lately.

- Kyle has been out of town for work the past three weeks, he's home on the weekends but they go by so fast. Solo parenting is exhausting. All single parents deserve a special award

- Matthew is officially my crazy kid. My sweet little tiny cuddly baby that was, I swear, just born is so busy now! He does not sit still. He beelines for the steps any chance he gets.  Pulls up and climbs onto anything and everything. He is so much worse than Miller and anyone that knows us in real life knows Miller is a wild man and Matthew is making him look calm.  #heavenhelpme  Those two are going to give me a run for my money.

- Miller is obsessed with playdoh right now and he loves to mix all the colors together!  Who is this child??! I was obsessive about my colors never mixing growing up and it takes all my self control not to scream "NO don't mix them together"

- Speaking of playdoh I love the smell of it. Anyone else?

- I quit breastfeeding Matthew a month ago. I'm happy and sad about it. I was down to two feedings a day (the rest were formula) so it wasn't too hard to do.  My hormones are all out of whack though as I adjust. I never experienced  this with Miller because I was already 8 weeks pregnant at this point.

-I still have 10lbs of baby weight I cannot.get.rid.of.   My regular clothes fit again and I know it's just a number but I still feel blah about it and want it off.  The scale does not budge at all.  I think I'm going to finally break down and do a shake/diet program of some sort.

- My postpartum boobs are even more depressing than my weight. Nursing two kids has ruined them. Now I just need to budget in a boob job for me...

- Oh and my face looks like a teenagers. I feel like I have full blown acne again. It will not stop breaking out.  I guess this is what happens when all the hormones are out of my body.

- I broke my no shopping in July... I picked up a few dresses for a baby shower I have next weekend. I'm waiting for them to arrive and will return them if they don't work but I just hate everything in my closet right now.

- I bought a lot of non-maternity clothes when I was pregnant with the intention of wearing them again and I haven't touched them once this summer.  I HATE all my clothes from pregnancy. I think they remind me of being bigger and uncomfortable so I've lent them all to my sister who is pregnant.

- I can't wait to start fall clothes shopping!  Anyone else?

Now it's your turn!

  1. Those You Tube videos are so addictive for the kids. Our 3 year old loves to watch the Doc Mcstuffins Egg surprise videos. She would watch them for hours if I let her.

  2. My nieces went through a phase where they were watching a youtube channel of kids just opening toys as well. I really dont get it lol.
Go you for being a single parent during the week--I can only imagine how hard it is, especially with trying to pack!!

  3. Yes, the post baby boobs are so depressing haha! I've been trying to talk Bill into letting me get them done when we are done having kids.

  5. I can just hear you telling Miller not to mix the colors. That would drive me nuts too! As well as coloring outside of the lines.
I am really loving the 21 day fix program! 3.5 lbs down in weeks one and completely manageable. Let me know if you want the inside scoop. (and no I don't sell it. haha)

  6. Packing is the worst! I vowed the same thing when we moved last year. and I only had one kid! I hear ya on the post-baby boobs. I am still nursing but know that they will never be quite as perky! Hey, Even Gisele went in for a boob lift in Paris! We are doing the whole no shopping for a month thing and it is so hard. And I luckily got all my shopping done before the NSale. Totally in the same boat on the baby weight. I have 5-10 lbs left to lose. The first 25 were easy, now they are stubborn! Trying to workout everyday but I know that by dieting is 80% of weight loss and those are so hard. I have a serious sugar addiction (like hide from my daughter in the pantry and scarf down a handful of straight sprinkles.) #noshame

  7. You seriously do look great but I know how annoying it is when you don't like the number on the scale! Ummm and why do kids love the weirdest YouTube videos ever???

  8. We just deleted YouTube for the kids because it was getting to be too much. That's all they wanted to do and we found deleting it was the only way to control it, ugh! The funny thing is since we've deleted it they're playing together so much more and using their imaginations which I love.

Packing is the worst, I remember it when we moved here, it's never ending. Pour some wine, put some music on and make it a little more enjoyable. And you deserve a metal for single parenting xo

  9. This may as well be my head with all these thoughts in it! My nephews love those sorts of videos except it's other people playing video games. I am like how on earth is that fun?

  10. Ah! Post baby boobs are the worst! I didn't even really have boobs pre-pregnancy & now... Ugh! Depressing! Lol! I hear you on reading blogs... I bring up blogger.com on my phone in safari & sign in then just read from the dashboard. It's set up in desktop form but, it still works. Better than bloglovin I think!

  11. Playdoh. I cannot. Our are a brown jumbled dried out mess that Greyson won't stop playing with. It's ROUGH! Can you budget in a boob job for me too please and thank you?

  12. Packing is the worst! I love our house but even if I didn't I'd be tempted to live there forever just so I don't have to pack up a whole house full of stuff!

  13. Oh i swear I think your nap time confession posts are my favorite. I think it's usually because I could write 98% of them myself or at least can totally relate. I've held off introducing Brody to playdoh for some reason, but I guess I need to give it a try. I know he'd run all over the house with the stuff. As for your baby weight, you look amazing. I would have never guessed you had 10lbs left and more-so thought you were thinner than before. Have you thought at all that it could be because you are lifting weights now? That happened to me a bit after Brody because I started working out with a trainer doing weights 2 days a week and then I couldn't get the last 5 lbs off. I hated that part of it. Don't even get me started on post-baby boobs...its awful.

  14. I can't imagine packing up an entire house because we are STILL unpacking from moving in last summer. Eeek - right there with you on the break in no shopping, I just couldn't keep away - I did pretty good for a while and then caved. I'm really trying to hold strong for a few more weeks before doing some fall purchasing but we shall see :-/ SO excited for those fall clothes too though!

  15. Hunter is obsessed with those same videos! He's in a trance watching people play with toys and taking them out of boxes and also the surprise eggs! So weird! I usually just let him watch them in the mornings while I get dressed but he does get a decent amount of tv on the weekends, I try to tell myself at least those cartoons are educational! ha! Well if you do want to try out Shakeology/21 day fix, let me know, today is the last day for the sale and it is a great program.

  16. Packing does suck!! KC is down to two feedings and the hormones are so real and it sucks! Luckily it's temporary (like packing :) ) I cannot bare to look at anything that looks like maternity either. I've never believed in buying something I could wear later bc I know it will just remind me of looking like a whale (you however pull of pregnany with style and grace - very unlike my whale-ish appearance). Have you ever made playdough? It's so easy and it lasts forever!

  17. I have yet to start packing and I'm starting to freak out just a little bit because we move in a month and go on vacation in 2 weeks. Eeeekkk!! I also LOVE the smell of Playdoh! So good! But I can't stand when the colors mix, either. I've been reading blogs sporadically on my phone, too, so I can never comment but today I'm on the computer! :)

  18. Packing is my least favorite thing so I can't even imagine how hard it is with kiddos! Xo, Stephanie
