Thoughts for Thursday: Because we're totally out of our minds...

We bought a new house!

As long as nothing crazy happens this place will be ours at the end of July!
This news has been quite a surprise to our family and friends because we've only lived in our current house for 2.5 years and just did all those renovations last year. We also haven't really told anyone we were looking but we've been on the look out for the past year and this house came up and it was just meant to be.

Our current house is only 1800sq ft and has 3 bedrooms.  Once Matthew was born we quickly realized that we couldn't stay here as long as we had hoped. We always knew the place was small but having a second  kid and losing our guest room really solidified that.  We talked with a few contractors about getting an addition but the price to add a fourth bedroom was so much more than we would ever recoup if we sold it since we would only be adding about 200sqft. There were also so many things we never considered since we bought this place while I was pregnant but we're close to a busy major cut through road and our backyard and driveway are both hills, which are not ideal for kids.  I also have to cross that road to get to our neighborhood pool, park, playground and while it's not bad in the middle of the day it's impossible in the mornings and evening rush house so I ended up driving everywhere when I could easily walk.

The new house is in very similar condition that our current house was in when we bought it. It was built in 1993 and has been meticulously maintained but doesn't have any updates. It's about 3500sq ft and has 4 bedrooms upstairs with a 5th bedroom and bath in the basement.  It's a whole lot more house than we need but this is our forever house, we will not be leaving here for a long time, if ever, so we wanted to make sure we have enough space for the long haul of visitors and if we ever decide to have a third baby we won't lose a guest room.

I'm excited to move but feeling very sad about leaving our current house.  I'm going to miss my kitchen so so so much but I know this is the right choice for our family.  It was a deal we couldn't pass up. The best part is that we're staying in our community! So that will make the adjustment much easier.  I've included a few sneak peek pictures below and I promise I will be back with more pictures and details next week.

  2. So exciting! Congrats!!! It's gorgeous! And you'll love the extra room! You know I'm always looking out too lol. We're not cramped really (although extra room would be nice), but would love a one story house that's bigger than ours.

  5. How exciting!!!! It sounds like you guys are making a great decision for you down the road. It's amazing how quickly you run out of space, especially once you have kids (so I've heard), so it's good to have the room to expand. And so much more fun doing all of those home projects again! lol At least you have the experience under your belt this time around!

  19. Congratulations! Great house! We moved when our first was 4 months old and again when our third was 2. I left a brand new master bath for a 1960s one :( I feel your pain! It is worth it though.

  34. I'm very excited sharing this amazing testimony about how i save my marriage and get my husband back today, My name is Becky Miller , I live in Los Angeles, California, I'm happily married to a lovely and caring husband ,with three kids. A very big problem occurred in my family seven months ago, between me and my husband .so terrible that he took the case to court for a divorce.he said that he never wanted to stay with me again, and that he didn't love me anymore. So he packed out of the house and made me and my children passed through severe pain. I tried all my possible means to get him back, after much begging, but all to no avail.and he confirmed it that he has made his decision, and he never wanted to see me again. So on one evening,as i was coming back from work,i met an old friend of mine who asked of my husband .So i explained every thing to him,so he told me that the only way i can get my husband back,is to visit a spell caster, because it has really worked for him too.So i never believed in spell, but i had no other choice, than to follow his advice. Then he gave me the email address of the spell caster whom he visited.{salvationlovetemple@gmail.comm}. So the next morning,i sent a mail to the address he gave to me,and the spell caster assured me that i will get my husband back the next day. What an amazing statement!! I never believed,so he spoke with me,and told me everything that i need to do. Then the next morning, So surprisingly, my husband who didn't call me for the past seven 9 months, gave me a call to inform me that he was coming back.So Amazing!! So that was how he came back that same day, with lots of love and joy,and he apologized for his mistake, and for the pain he caused me and my children. Then from that day,our relationship was now stronger than how it were before,by the help of a spell caster. So, i will advice you out there to kindly visit the same website { http://lovespelltemple.weebly.com/. } if you have any problem contact Dr Sam ,{ salvationlovetemple@gmail.com }, thanks you Dr Sam, i will always be testifying about your good work.
