So here are some things on my radar this week...
1. Merona Reversible Faux Leather Tote- When I was in Target yesterday I stumbled upon these reversible tote bags and I'm kind of obsessed. I love all the fun colors for spring and summer and for only $36 I think I might need to add one to my ever growing bag collection.
I'm thinking of getting a fun color like this red or the pink.
2. Merona Bernice Taper Toe Flat- In the same Target shopping trip yesterday after I saw the above tote bags I stumbled upon these flats and fell even more in love. Why does Target have so much good stuff?!?! They didn't have any in store in my size but for only $19 I might need to get a pair of these too, in the navy stripe and black :)
I think the black might be perfect for now and the navy stripe for spring!
3. No Bake Energy Bites- I was desperate for something sweet yesterday but I didn't have any butter or canola oil plus I wanted to try and be healthy, so I decided to make some no bake energy bites. They were so easy to make and are so addicting. I can't believe I haven't tried these before. These might be my new go-to when I'm craving a chocolate chip cookie in the late afternoon/evening.
I used this recipe from Cooking Classy. I omitted the coconut because I didn't have any and I'm not a big coconut fan anyway and they seem fine to me.
Have you tried the no bake energy bites? Do you like them?
4. These Nightstands- So in my indecisive nature I still have not made a decision on new bedroom furniture. A while ago I pinned this image below from Elements of Style blog because I was obsessed with those nightstands. I figured they were a special order product that I would never be able to find but I found them!! They're not cheap but I'm in loooooove.
I found them at High Fashion Home which I stumbled upon through another blog bedroom makeover I was looking at. The color is listed as alabaster stone. I need to call the store because I'm not sure if that is a cream, a gray, an off white, etc. I'm hoping they have wood samples they could send but we'll see. They have a matching dresser but we may be going another direction for dressers, but yeah I still have no idea.
5. Earth Balance Soy Free- In an effort to clean up my diet and get back into healthy eating I'm back to paying attention to labels. One thing I've noticed is that when you're trying to cut out dairy everything has soy in it!! I'm was shocked at just how many items have soy in them. While soy isn't necessarily bad for you I'm just trying to be conscious of how much soy we are consuming since we do enjoy edamame at least once a week. I was so happy I found this Earth Balance butter which is vegan and soy free. Kyle is a little skeptical of it but I think it's delicious and tastes just like butter.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Linking up with April and the 5 on Friday Girls
I have those no energy bites pinned to make, so yummy!! And those bags are perfect!! :)
ReplyDeleteI had to be dairy free when breastfeeding my son and I was the same way about soy. It is everywhere! That butter is delicious and a favorite of mine, and Oreos are dairy free...in case you were wondering. :)
ReplyDeleteThose shoes and bags are perfect and a great deal!! I've been wanting to make those energy balls but hate coconut so I'm glad to hear they're good without it. Do you drink almond milk yet? We made the switch a few months ago and it's much healthier and tastier than milk! Have a great weekend and stay warm!!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about TARGET!!! I could spend HOURS and $$$$ in there :) Happy Friday
ReplyDeleteahh i want those shoes! so cute! xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteUH, I'm gonna need a target trip...
ReplyDeleteThose bags are adorable! And I love those nightstands. I really just want that bedroom to be mine! That is true about trying to cut out dairy. I noticed when I tried for a bit. There are a lot of dairy free / soy free products at Trader Joes if you have one close by. I gave that up because it got too difficult! :)
ReplyDeleteThose bags are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love the no-bake energy bites -- they're so addicting though, so it is hard to only have one or two! I adore those totes! When Lent is over I'm going to scoop one up too. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteEnergy balls are the best! They're so yummy and addicting! I have to try that spread - no gmo's and vegan? Great find!! We try to watch out soy intake because it's one of the big GMO products used in a lot of stuff and it is hard to avoid!
ReplyDeleteI think one of those bright target bags would make for a great beach bag
ReplyDeletelove those striped target flats!! I did some no energy bites a few weeks ago and loved them. the one thing I kept thinking while I made them though was that they probably had more calories than I was thinking they did?? I'd one with my breakfast or have as a snack at work and they tasted like cookies :) So I was like hmmmm should I be eating these bc they're so good?! never knew that with the dairy! Good to know! happy weekend :)

Thank you for the butter rec as I'm having to be dairy-free (damn lactose intolerance). LOVE the tote and those flats are so cute for now and into spring. Have a great weekend, friend :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh those totes! Target you are so hard on my budget! Love the flats too, especially the striped ones! Those bedside tables are beautiful! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteLove those bags and those shoes!! Need to check both of them out!
ReplyDeleteYay for some good Target finds!! I'm loving those totes (esp. the mint one) and you should definitely get those striped flats.. so cute! xo
ReplyDeleteI love your Target finds! I am in need of a new bag, and these look perfect! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose shoes!!! Love!
ReplyDeleteLooks like I will be making a trip to Target - love those flats!! And those bed side tables are gorgeous too. Xo, Stephanie
ReplyDeleteMan - target FTW! They always have the cutest stuff! I really try to stick to my list when I'm there but it's REALLY hard!
ReplyDeleteOh those bags remind me of the Nordstrom one! Yay target! Love the shoes too. We avoid soy at home (it's impossible out). We limited dairy after seeing Forks Over Knives but I'm not sure how much I believe everything they've said - but I did realize I eat way too much dairy!
ReplyDeleteI love those flats! I need them!
