I'm changing things up this week and I have some questions and would love to get some advice from you all!
1. Does anyone have the Land's End Large Canvas Tote?
2. Does anyone have any good tofu recipes? or any advice on cooking tofu?
I love the balsamic toasted tofu at the Whole Foods salad bar but I just can't seem to recreate it at home and would love advice or any good recipes for cooking tofu or any advice. Thanks!
3. Is Lululemon really worth it's price tag?
So I'm finally getting my lazy self back into exercising and I'm itching to get some new workout gear. Everyone constantly raves about Lulelemon but I'm not sure I can justify $92 on a pair of yoga pants. Do they last? Do they lose their elasticity after you wash them? Could I wear the WonderUnders in the winter outside?
4. Any fun cocktail suggestions? It's been over a year since I've had any form of liquor and next week Kyle and I have our first real date night at Woodberry Kitchen in Baltimore for his birthday. My go to is a Moscow/Govt Mule but would love to hear about any fun ones I might be missing!
5. Can anyone suggest a good BB cream that won't break the bank? I have the Origins CC cream and while I like it, I don't love it. Before I try an expensive BB cream I would to hear if you all have any good drugstore recommendations.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Lululemon? NEVER heard of it. BUT I'm not sure I want to considering a pair of workout pants is $90? Whoa. I don't care how long they last. Yoga pants are yoga pants. LOL. You know, I've been on the hunt for a good BB cream too. Tried tons of high end brands but keep going back to Almay Smartshade cream. It's not a BB cream but a CC cream and I love it more then any BB creams I've tried! Have fun at the wedding!
ReplyDeleteOK, have a huge issue with Lulu. WAY overpriced and their quitly isn't any better then most workout brands.. Check out GapBody. Their Gfast leggings fit just the same and are made in the same factory. I have had a few pairs for over 2 years and they look like my new ones.
ReplyDeleteI want to know the answers to ALL of these questions too! We're headed up to Baltimore in early December for a long weekend with my sister in law and brother in law - super interested to try Woodberry Kitchen. Let us know how it is!
ReplyDeleteSqueeze as much water out of the tofu block as you can before you cook it. Its hard to get a crust on it when it has so much water in it. I dice it, add Greek seasoning (my favorite blend) and salt, and cook it in a tiny bit of butter (it helps make a crust) and Pam.
ReplyDeleteI don't get the obsession with Lululemon, other than it's an expensive name brand that people like to wear just to say they are wearing it. I've heard good things about Old Navy's workout attire and that would be FAR less expensive.
ReplyDeleteLululemon - I have 2 pairs of pants and like them, but not more than the Nike pants I've owned in the past. I honestly think it's all a marketing/brand perception thing... Have a great time at WK!! We have our first dinner reservation there next month and I can't wait to see if it lives up to its reputation! I LOVE my Lands End canvas totes because of the pockets. Both girls also have them too. Right now I carry the medium one on the weekends with their gear and also have an XL one for the pool. I've never tried the large one but I'd order one and see if you like the size before monogramming it. Personally I prefer these bags to both traditional and non-traditional diaper bags because of their size, the pockets, and the sturdiness! Have a great time at the wedding!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Lululemon so I can't comment on the quality (though I am not crazy about the company's response to recent issues so I can't say I'd be willing to wear them) but I have both the Gap Body and Old Navy pants and they are both great. I think the Gap Body is called gfit and the ON are called compression leggings? Both fit well and hold up well to wear and washing. And they're cheap.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the wedding, how nice to have the best babysitters ever! :)
ReplyDeleteI have one pair of Lululemon pants (the Groove style) and I do love them but I purchased them from a local barre studio for 40% off so got them for $60. Still high for me but I do wear them a LOT and they are reversible, too!
I recently discovered Lululemon too! Everything is adorable but the price tag hurts my stomach!! I need to find out if its worth it! I hear its very comfortable, but so are my Target yoga pants.. Let me know what you find out!

WK's Snake Charmer is one of my favorite drinks this time of the year. We live about a block away so we get there pretty frequently. I hope you and your husband have a great dinner! Sorry..... can't help with the other questions. I've always wondered about the luluemon pants also, but the price tag is a little scary. I hope you enjoy the wedding!
ReplyDeleteJust found you cute blg from the linkup :) excited to follow along!! Have a great wknd
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the wedding! I love my Lulu pants SO much. I swear they make you magically skinnier!
ReplyDeleteLulu - I will never, ever try those bad boys on b/c I am a name-brand junkie. I am "one of those people" who believes something is better b/c it is expensive. Marketing people LOVE me! ha!
ReplyDeleteI definitely think luluemon is worth every penny! I have several pairs of capris & wunder unders and they've held up really well over the 3-4 years I've had them. I also have a few of the Cool Racerback Tanks and again, they still look brand. It doesn't hurt that the pants look fabulous on as well! The only setback is the price but I figure I've definitely got my money's worth already.
ReplyDeletei was totally the same way about lululemon....i thought it was ridiculous. and then 2 years ago i got a pair of their groove black pants. they are probably worn atelast 4 days a week , and over 2 years later are in PERFECT condition. they are the best thing I have ever bought - and so flattering!! you MUST get them!!!!
