Life Recap
Over the weekend we celebrated a big day for our family: Kyle's MBA Graduation!! I think there was a point where K (and me) were pretty sure his MBA program would never end as the nights and months dragged on but it's now finally over.
I am so incredibly proud of his accomplishment and I can't even begin to fathom how he held it together the past 3 years and especially these past 8 months with a crazy pregnant wife.
Georgetown is such a pretty campus in DC
The graduation took place right on the lawn of Healy Hall. We couldn't have asked for a prettier day but I will say sitting in the sun in 80 degree weather was HOT!
They provided us with fans which was nice to try to cool off with.
With the graduate!
We followed up graduation with lunch at Bandolero in Georgetown. It's a small plates Mexican restaurant and it was so good! It was our first time there but I would definitely go back again.
Then I dragged Kyle to Dean and Deluca so I could have my favorite Smores bar- so dangerously delicious!! It's totally worth it's ridiculous price tag of $5
We had a fence installed last week and it's perfect! I think it adds so much to our house and Layla is loving the opportunity to run free.
We also put together all of our baby items and set them up around the house. We wanted to get this done sooner rather than later so that Layla would be used to the new "furniture" and "toys". So far it's been successful and she hasn't had any interest in them. I will even turn the swing on and play music and she still has no interest. I know this might change when Baby Boy is here but for now I think it's a good sign.
Someone sent us a wagon so Kyle went ahead and put it together. It was not easy to put together but it's so cute and can't wait until Baby Boy is old enough to take walks in it.
Only 5 more weeks until my due date! The countdown is really on!
