Well my life has been upside down lately and I feel like I just can't keep up. My job is busy (which is a good thing), our new puppy Layla makes it so difficult to do any chores around the house, and between working, school, and traveling my husband doesn't have any time to help. I have also barely completed my Christmas shopping- which is not good news considering I'll be at my in-laws in 10 days to celebrate.
So I'm sharing with you the disaster that is currently my house (if you were to visit you would never know I live like this sometimes, I usually like to keep my house looking pristine for guests.) I'm so embarrassed to post these pics but I'm hoping that someone else can relate and maybe you all can motivate me to get my sh*t together and clean this place up!
Work station/Christmas card station
The half decorated Christmas tree
The hallway of never ending laundry and dry cleaning
The "office" has looked like this for a couple of weeks now- I'm not even sure I can tell you what we're storing in there anymore...
So are you all submitting this post to Hoarders to get me help?? Please tell me I'm not alone!! (I'm glad my mom doesn't read this blog because she would kill me.)
That hallway is impressive! I usually let my clothes pile up on and around a chair until I can't see it or the floor anymore. It's funny there are little things that you let go in terms of a mess and others you never would!
ReplyDeleteWay to keep it real, girl!! You should see my laundry situation right now...puts yours to SHAME! It's awful! haha
ReplyDeleteI mean...my apt is always a mess. Always.
ReplyDeleteHaha! My house looks like this all the time. I try to keep up with things, but sometimes, life gets in the way. I've decided that sometimes, I'd rather let the mess pile up and have a glass of wine and unwind before bed than spend that extra 20 minutes straightening up.
ReplyDeleteYOU. ARE. NOT. ALONE!!! :)
ReplyDeletehahahaha I LOVE this!!! My husband and I are SUCH a mess and I don't want to even start to pick it up!
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome! Love that you're keeping it real with messy photos! I think your house and my house could be best friends these days! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you in the depression of reading blogs and thinking their lives are perfect too!!! Glad to see I'm not alone :)
ReplyDeleteVirtual high five because our office is also a part time receptacle for drying clothes! I do find that cleaning ever few days makes things a little more bearable than the times we used to have someone clean on a regular basis (the stretches in between were bad!)

Girl--- that's what new years resolutions are for. My room looks similar to your hall of laundry... terrifying. You'll catch up one day, but for now don't fret too much!
ReplyDeleteI just moved into a new house and my mum facetimed me the other day and told me she was going to have a heart attack if I didnt pick up the laundry on the stairs lol. xx
ReplyDeleteThis is so refreshing to see REAL photos of a REAL household! I think you would be surprised at how many of us truely live this way...Looking around, my place doesn't look much different! Ha!
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely not alone! Love this post! Makes me feel so much more normal!
ReplyDeleteLOL the laudry that creeps out into the hallway is a very familiar happening for me! I always say I'll try to keep it under wraps, but that never happens! #laundrywoes :)

Your office looks just like mine right now!! LOVED this post! :) We all need to show the chaos occasionally = ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI try to keep my apartment photos pretty real. I don't move things around. In my Christmas tree photos you can even see my Halloween banner in the background. I didn;t even bother to take it down!
ReplyDeleteThis post shows you are REAL! Great post!!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely are not alone. I have stuff everywhere right now!
